About Our Team

The Cardinals

The Cardinals play pick-up games at the Arena and players don red or white practice jerseys to tell the teams apart. "Glacial Crest" comes from the street the Arena is located and the "Cardinals" name is derived from the bird that makes its home on the Arena property.

Team Logo!

Players and fans have the option of purchasing team caps with the "Boisvert Arena" caption on the front and the "Cardinal" logo centered in back.

History of The Boisvert Arena

The Glacial Crest Cardinals were formed due to the lack of good outdoor ice in the surrounding area. A group of guys wanted to play better hockey on better ice. Thus, The Boisvert Arena was created. The ice surface is 120'x65', complete with boards. The rink was constructed in 1990, and has been upgraded as the years have passed. Boards have been replaced, lights installed, a hydrant for pouring the rink was excavated, benches erected, and back-stops built. What will the future bring? Don't ask!

Local hockey enthusiasts come out for pick-up games on the weekends, tests their hockey skills and go home happy. Some days will bring 25 players to the rink, all ready to lace them up and score!

Shot and a goal!

Our Team Mascot

Our team even has its own mascot. Actually, Little Jacques is the owner's dog who loves to play on the ice and chase pucks! Does that make him a "puck-hound"?

Where should I drop this puck, guys?

Not ANOTHER Face-off!
